మసి పూసి ఆకాశాన్ని నల్లగా చేశా,దానిపై పాల చుక్కలు చల్లి తారకలను రప్పించేసా, ఎంత త్వరగా చీకటి పడితే అంత త్వరగా వస్తావని! అయినా ఓ వెన్నెల నన్ను పిచ్చోడిని అనుకోకు, నీ ప్రేమలో పడ్డ నాకు ఏది పిచ్చిగా అనిపించట్లేదు...

తారలకు కరువు పూలకు కొరత

నింగిలో ఎన్ని చుక్కలో,

నేలపై ఎన్ని పూలో,

లెక్క రాసి పెట్టుకున్నా,

కానీ ఒక్కసారిగా నింగిలో తారలకు కరువొచ్చింది,

నేలపై పూలకు కొరతొచ్చింది,

ఆ అద్భుతాలు సోయగాలు నీలో పెట్టి పుట్టించాడేమో దేవుడు, మిగతావారిని శ్వాసతో రక్తంతో చేసి సరిపెట్టుకున్నాడు...

I had a count of the number of stars in the sky and the number of flowers on the earth, but all of a sudden, there was a scarcity of both. It seems like God used those wonders and fragrances to create you, while the rest of us are made with only breath and blood...

ఇది వరకు చూడని అద్భుతాలు ఎన్నో ఉన్నా, 

నీ కలలో తొంగి చూడాలని కలిగే కోరికెందుకో,

లెక్కించినా తక్కువే తారలు,

కానీ నీ ఆలోచనలు ఎన్నో వాటిని లెక్కించలేనెందుకో...

Though many miracles remain unseen,

I long to see them in your dreams, serene.

Stars may be counted, or so it seems,

But your thoughts are beyond what numbers deem...
