స్వాతంత్య్ర దినోత్సవ శుభాకాంక్షలు

 నువ్వు తుపాకీ గుండు వాడలేదంటే,

మేము బియ్యపు గింజని వాడలేము,

నువ్వు మాసిన బట్టలతో నిలబడకుంటే ,

మేము మంచి దుస్తులు ధరించలేము,

నువ్వు కవచము వాడందే,

మాకు నివాసము ఉండదు,

స్వతంత్రం వచ్చింది నిజమే కానీ దాన్ని కాపాడుతున్నది మీరే,

ఎందరో చేసిన త్యాగాలను మోస్తూ మాకు ఈ వేడుకని కానుకిస్తున్నారు,

అమరవీరులారా మీకు ఈ దేశం వందనాలు తెలుపుతూ స్వాతంత్య్ర దినోత్సవ శుభాకాంక్షలు తెలియజేస్తోంది....

If you don't use the bullet,

We cannot enjoy the rice grains,

If You don't stand with stained clothes,

We can't wear good clothes,

If you don't wear a shield,

We cannot live in our shelters,

It is true that independence has come but you are the one who is protecting it.

You are bearing the sacrifices of many and making it as a celebration to us,

My dear soldiers, nation is saluting you and wishing you happy independence day....

స్వాతంత్య్రం అంటే?

స్వాతంత్య్రం అంటే?

జెండాకు వందనం,

తీపిని పంచడం,

సేవలకు దూరమవ్వడం,

సెలవును ఆస్వాదించడం,

ఇదేనా స్వాతంత్య్రం అంటే? కాదు

శత్రువుల చెరల నుంచి విముక్తి పొందితే వచ్చిందని పుస్తకాలు చెప్పాయి,

పాఠశాల గంటలో ఉందని విద్యార్థులు చెప్పారు,

ఒడి చెరనుంచి పారిపోయే అడుగులలో ఉందని బిడ్డ చెప్పింది,

ప్రేమను  సాధించటంలో ఉందని యువకుడన్నాడు,

అప్పులు లేని వ్యాపారంలో ఉందని వర్తకుడు అన్నాడు ,

ఆరోగ్యంలో ఉందని  రోగి అన్నాడు ,

ఇదేనా స్వాతంత్య్రం అంటే? కాదు

ఎక్కడ పడితే అక్కడ ఎంగిలి ఉమ్మడం , 

స్వేచ్ఛగా చెత్తను ఉన్నచోటే పారేయడం ,

ఎవ్వరు చూడనపుడు తప్పు చేయడం,

వ్యాపారం పేరుతో దోచుకోవడం,

లంచాలు ఇచ్చి శిక్షను తప్పించుకోవడం,

విదేశీ రుచికోసం ఆరోగ్యాన్ని వదులుకోవడం,

అవసరం కోసం నియమాలను ఉల్లంఘించడం,

ఇదేనా స్వాతంత్య్రం అంటే? కాదు

ఓ సామాన్యుడా మేలుకో,

శత్రువులు పోయారు,

మనకు స్వేచ్ఛనిచ్చిన నేతలు పోయారు,

కానీ స్వాతంత్య్రం ఏది?

మన అడుగులు దేనివైపు?

శత్రువు లేని సమాజాం కోసమే అయితే నీ పోరాటంతో పనిలేదు సైనికులు ఉన్నారు,

ఆకలి తీర్చే ప్రయాసపడకు కర్షకులు సేవకులు ఉన్నారు,

రోగాలతో పోరాడకు వైద్యులున్నారు,

నీ రక్షణకై బయపడకు రక్షకభటులున్నారు,

ఇంకా మెరుగైన సమాజమా నీ లక్ష్యం?

అయితే నీ ఒక్క చిన్న చర్యను సరిచేసుకో,

అదే స్వాతంత్య్రం ఆరోజే నిజమైన స్వాతంత్య్ర దినోత్సవం..... 

What is independence?

A Salute to the flag,

Handing out candy,

Staying away from services,

Enjoying the holiday,

Is this independence?

The books say that we got it by freeing ourselves from enemies,

Students say that it is in the last school bell,

The baby said it is when he can walk or run,

The young man said that it is when he can get the love,

The trader said it is in a debt-free business,

The patient said it is in good health,

Is this independence?

you are free to spit anywhere,

You are free to throw the garbage anywhere,

You are free to make a mistake when unnoticed,

Robbery in the name of business,

Violating the rules for our necessities,

Giving up the health for the foreign taste,

Is this independence?

Wake up, O commoner,

The enemies are gone,

We have lost the leaders who set us free,

But what is independence?

Which way are our feet?

Do you want to fight with our enemies? don’t worry soldiers are taking care,

Do you want to fulfil hunger? don’t worry, farmers are there,

There are doctors to fight diseases,

There are police to protect you,

If you still want a better independent society?

Correcting your one small action will bring all of us the same,

And that day is the real independence day…..
